Personally, I think an introductory paragraph is very easily perfected. You might have a sentence "hooking" the reader into the essay first, such as a rhetorical question or an exclamation of some sort. Then comes your thesis statement of your paper. You might put a few small, extra details into it, too. Make sure your introduction isn't too "heavy" with information, and that's it's clear and attention-getting.
