Journal - Who is the oldest family member of your family you have ever met? What do you know about your family history? Have your parents ever told you anything thing about your family history? Do you know what kind of heritage you have? Explain as much as you can about your family and any history you have knowledge of.
The oldest family member of my family I've ever met is my great-grandmother, on my dad's mom's side. She's 98 right now, I think. To be honest, I don't know much about my family history other than the fact that aside from me and my brother, all my relatives were born in China. Almost all of them have stayed there, too. Frankly, my extended family is so large I don't think my parents know everything about it either. Also, both of my parents almost never saw their grandparents (my great-grandparents) because a lot of them were killed during WWII. They don't even have pictures or easily accessible records of them, and they've forgotten most of their names. Other than that, I really don't know anything more about my heritage. There's nothing overly special there, I think.

Journal - Which web design platform did you choose - Wix or Weebly? What are three things you've learned about Web Design so far?
I chose to use Wix. I've learned that there is an extremely wide variety of styles, templates, and themes web designers can choose from when making a website, even if it's only on an online tool. There are many things you can embed into them too. Web designers should always make their websites aesthetically pleasing and organized. The cooler it looks, the better. That's my opinion.

Journal - What have you learned about making a website? Explain.
To be honest, I haven't learned much. I've looked at help.edublogs.org/2011/09/07/popular-web-tools-that-can-be-embedded/, www.wix.com/, and www.weebly.com/. I know there are many things you can put into a website, and many online tools you can use to make one. I, for one, plan to use http://www.wix.com/. It looks like it's simple enough, yet still very, very capable of making a cool website. But, I'm wondering if we're only going to use online tools to make websites, or if we're going to use other computer tools to design them. I know there's a Web Design class though, so that's probably what they're doing.

Journal - What do you know about building and creating a website? Have you ever done it before? List qualities of a well designed and well functioning website.
I honestly have no idea. I've never built or created a website before. I don't have any experience or ideas about it, nor do I have any purposes for it, outside of schoolwork. A well-made website should be aesthetically pleasing to the eye, organized, and clear-cut and simple. It should make getting the information you want easy and fast, and it shouldn't have any (or too much) junk and useless stuff on it. Preferably, it should look professional and/or fun, depending on the purpose of the website.
