Journal - What is the importance of online safety and protecting your information? What do you do to protect yourself online? Share an experience you or someone you know has had with online safety.
Whenever you put something online, you're basically sharing it to whatever website you put it on. Sometimes, other people can see or access it, and depending on what you put online, there can be security and safety issues. For example, posting things on social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) opens them to the public, unless you're smart about what and how you post.
I myself have never had issues with this (yet), but once my brother registered his email with a whole bunch of seemingly random websites (Cut him some slack. He's 11.), and within minutes his inbox (and spam folder) looked like a dumpster. So, I guess he learned his lesson after that.
